Firstly i dont believe the first review. You must be the only person who was not effected by installation of plesk. All my sites had paths etc overwritten and backends, if named admin, were totally deleted. I spent hundreds of hours fixing these guys problems for my clients and now would not go near them. Their response to that situation was a disgrace. They were a good company but soon as jumpline took over they were terrible with terrible support and toook no responsibility for their mistakes that destroyed thousands of sites.

This company does not value customer service nor listen to their customers voices. I've complained many times since they were purchased even through snail mail to no avail. They don't actually READ your support tickets more like scan them for a general idea and send you a general response. They value closing tickets quickly than actually resolving any problems that may actually be listed there. Shell accounts are the most limited I've ever seen not even allowing chmod or tar.

If you value customer service stay away from this place.

I've used Digital Space for my personal domain for about 7 years. I picked them based on price - $36/year for basic hosting, paid annually. I've been very happy.

Recently, they upgraded their system significantly, and the control panel (Plesk) is easy to use. Support, both technical and billing, has always been responsive. Digital Space is a terrific choice for bargain hunters, and likely a good choice for anyone else (though my site is so low volume, I can't comment on performance for sites that get heavy traffic).
