Blackwire offer a free domain and hosting for opportunity avenue customers . 24 months into the agreement they dony maintain the PHP / sql version , they dont respond to support tickets.They dont renew the domain registration . In fact your dumped high and dry when your sites are up and running . Causing you to major issues with customers . this contravenes the data protection act.. Its also data saboutage. Avoid Blackwire at all costs or at your peril!!!

I have been with BlackWire Hosting fot over a year and i have never had an easy time of getting ahold of someone unless i wanted to "upgrade". Stay away from them the customer service SUCKS

I've been with blackwire hosting for just about 12 months. When if first went to publish my website and some small issues after that, it seemed fine. However, in the last two months (my subscription runs out at the end of oct 2010) and low and behold, me site is down with a - Internal server error. I've sent them tickets and more tickets, but they haven't responded. I had another issue with cpanel, never got a response. Not sure how they stay in business but very poor. This is the company that markets " 90 second website builder". I'd go with: WYSIWYG BUILDER. In fact, Blackwire have copied this program and called it their own. cheapskates!!!

Don't use them.

I had used Blackwire Hosting for 2 years and had good uptime and server performance but the customer service is poor at best. Their website states that you can talk with a real person but you cannot get to an option where a live person answers a call.

The man issue I have with them is that I had set up a subscription payment thru paypal and experienced a payment glitch with back-up funding changes (a whole different issue there) and my service got canceled. I tried by phone, email, and submitting support tickets for 2 1/2 weeks to get payment made and service re-started and I never so much as received even a peep, or automated email saying that my calls or email had been received. I have several domains, sub-domains, ebay templates with live listings dead in the water, and gb on top of gb worth of data lost on their servers now.

Steer clear of Blackwire if you want a service that actually treats you like a customer instead of a payment.

A couple weeks ago I signed up for 2-years of hosting to launch a campaign. I was confused That their autoresponder never sent a Thank You or Admin Login or Cpanel Login details? I logged in and asked what the deal was on their internal support ticket and they replied their E-Mail got bounced (everyone else on the internet doesn't have a problem), so I gave her an alternate Email and told her I'd upload a campaign in a couple days. A few days later I go to use their CPanel and it doesn't work, their running a Wordpress blog with someone elses campaign on my domain! A little dissappointed I locked my domain name and requested a refund under their "Iron Clad 60 day guarentee"... like I'm really ever going to see that. Now they're really ignoring me, but I can still get in and request my refund.

If you don't like any customer service and minimal support go with these guys....
