I had a small reseller account with the Canadian hosting company DotServing (formerly ChronicHosting) for five years. While never setting the world on fire, they fairly ably provided for my needs, even after an ownership change in early 2008. However, DotServing was absorbed by iWeb in 2009, and I have had great frustration since. The server my account was apparently affected with a rootkit infection, and even after noticing symptoms myself and providing detailed information, had to prod them for almost two weeks before they acknowledged and fixed the problem. Reinstalling their OS as part of this fixup managed to break a number of things, including ongoing traffic stat reports and my reseller package setups, some of which I'm sure I just haven't noticed yet. The final straw was that they somehow managed to let the main domain name for the server in question (the one the A record for the IP was attached to, and the nameservers I was using) expire without noticing. It was in a grace period when I noticed and contacted them, and it took 3 weeks to get it renewed, during which time I got nothing but confusion and misinformation from support. Communication with the support techs in general has been painful, as they don't seem to take the point of what you are saying, and often come back with irrelevant or incorrect info. I don't know if iWeb intends to keep the DotServing brand or collapse it into their own offerings, but with any number of good hosting options out there you may want to avoid DotServing right now.
