This company is a joke. We just took over an account which has there site hosted by Host Color. It has been a nightmare trying to work with them, they say "famous 24/7 support”, but the only thing they good about is picking up the phone, after that good luck trying to understand whoever you're talking to, sounds like the same guy every time, very heavy accent and sounds like he has a mouth full of mashed potatoes. You can forget the support ticket system, it gets lost in the void. If you have the smallest technical question you usually get hung up on, happened 4 times so far. We are pulling the site off of here and moving it to a respectable company. My 2 cents; stay away from this company, you can find cheaper and BETTER hosting.

When I first joined with hostcolor, the servers went down frequently. It got so bad, on numerous occasions, that they eventually gave me a free 6 months on my plan. The uptime got better for a while, however, if it does go down, don't expect much help.

The other day, my server suffered from a "too many connections" error. It took hostcolor over an hour to fix this, and never gave an explanation. After the server came back up, my FTP went down, and trying to get to the admin panel resulted in just "EMERGENCY", being displayed on the screen. This lasted for over an hour as well. When I asked what the problem had been, I was simply told "It's fixed now". I like to know what problems are, as I do know a bit about servers and computers.

I will be looking for a VPS host soon, and don't think I will be entrusting my company to a site that won't tell me why my site was down for an hour, and why essential services were down for another hour after that.
